As a private university, NABA is regulated by the Higher Artistic and Musical Education (AFAM) system, a section of the Italian University system ruled by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). Under this accreditation NABA upholds strict admissions standards and the academic courses have a restricted number of available places.

Admission for European/Non-European students is dependent on minimum educational requirements, specific Italian language knowledge requirements, and passing an Admissions exam.

The following procedures and admission exam schedules have been developed in compliance with the Ministerial regulations in force and with the internal admission and matriculation procedures.
