Indipendent Filmmaker
Riccardo Bernasconi graduated in Media Design and Multimedia Arts in 2008 and today is an independent filmmaker.
Among the awards and competitions won, deserve mention:
- 1st prize for "She Wolf" at 2010 edition of the One Minute Festival Aarau
- Selection of the short movie "Kiss Who" in the section "Pardi di domani" at 62° Locarno Film Festival
- Selection of "The Invisible City" at Unica World Championship 2008
- 2nd prize for "Il Trattamento" at 32° Schweizer Jugendfilmtage Zurich
- 1st prize for "Il Trattamento" at the 7th Milano International Film Festival, School category
- 1st prize for "L'ombra sul muro" at the second edition of the One Minute Festival Aarau
- 2nd prize and Audience Award for "Boffer Bings" at Varese Cortisonici Videofestival
- "Tzirk" has also been included in the promotional DVD "swiss_shorts_20", published by SwissFilms, which collects the 14 best Swiss short movies (fiction, documentary or experimental) of 2010
In the workplace, his production house Studio Asparagus has produced 4 short films: "Who Kiss", "La Danse des Nymphes" (co-produced with ZHdK Zurich, Lugano and Cinédokké RSI Lugano), "Tzirk" (co-produced with Cinédokké Lugano) and "She Wolf" (co-produced with ZHdK Zurich).
He has curated the film backstage with Tilda Swinton "I Am Love" by Luca Guadagnino and edited of the documentary "Alda Merini: - eternamente vivo" by Daniele Pignatelli. He also made music videos for The V.AC and Virginio Simonelli.
He is currently completing the editing of his first film "Hello Stranger" which, like all previous short movie has been created in collaboration with Francesca Reverdito.
