Set and Costume Designer

 

Guia Buzzi graduated from the BA in Theatre Design in 1995.

Immediately after the graduation, she began to collaborate with Margherita Palli for the design of installations, exhibitions and events, performances and lyrical prose signed by directors like Luca Ronconi and Cesare Lievi.

She designed the sets and costumes of the operas "La serva padrona", "Il Maestro di Cappella" "Il ratto dal serraglio", "Le nozze di Figaro", "Un giorno di regno", “Gianni Schicchi e L’Enfant et les Sortileges”, “Il Viaggio a Reims”,"Sei Personaggi in cerca d'autore", “Rosmersholm” and “Ite missa”.

She has projected several exhibition set including "Milano e lo stile di una città tra Settecento e Novecento” and “Torino al lavoro”.

In 1999 she began her teaching activity in the BA in Theatre Design at NABA and in 2004 as assistant to the laboratory of Stage Design at IUAV (University Institute of Architecture in Venice).

After having established herself as a costume and set designer for important events, she has debuted in 2010 as the director of "La serva padrona" and "Il Maestro di Cappella" at the Teatro Comunale of Treviso.
