From 12-17 April 2011
Designersblock exhibition at Light Space in Ventura Lambrate

An interpretation of the Ember trend story, taken from Mix Trends, in collaboration with NABA and the creative leather company “Priante Pelleitaliana”.
This year as part of Milan Design Week, Global Color Research, the publishing house of Mix magazine and Mix Trends, has partner NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milan to create an installation which interpretates EMBER, one of their trends for Autumn Winter 2012/13.
The Ember trend takes inspiration from the destructive power of the natural world; earthquakes and volcanoes bring fire and ice form crackled ash sculptures.
Using the Mix trend “Ember” story and inspired by “Urban Camouflage and its Metaphor of Nature”, NABA have created an installation and developed a space where people can just relax. It has been used quality leather with strong distinguishing characteristics from tannery Priante Pelleitaliana, that designs and produces leather products for luxury furnishing and interior design, integrating creativity and technology.

From 12-17 April 2011, the “Re-Embering” Installation will be showcased as part of the Designersblock exhibition at Light Space in Ventura Lambrate, in the North East new design District of Milan. The installation, created by students of the second year of MA Textile and New Material Design, coordinated by Orietta Pelizzari, has been built from nine different textures recalling nature, particular softness, new geometrics, paths in life, daily tradition, handmade past and others.
