BPM (Banca Popolare di Milano) special fundings  (“prestiti d’onore”)
for NABA MA students

What is “prestito d’onore”?
It’s a loan which is conceded – thanks to a particular agreement between NABA and Banca Popolare di Milano – to students that are wishing to attend one of NABA Post Graduate Programs, reserving them special favourable conditions.

First of all, the student receiving the loan is not requested any form of guarantee: it’s NABA who warrantees for him; and it’s the Bank who - trusting professional growth of people choosing today to invest on their future – accepts to charge itself with a percentage of the risk.

How much money can be asked and in how much time shall they be repaid?
The Bank grants a loan between a minimum of 3.000,00 (three thousands) Euros and a maximum of 10.000,00 (ten thousands) Euros per year, for each of the two years of attendance, for a total of maximum 20.000,00 (twenty thousands) Euro.
The loan can be repaid within a maximum period of 60 (sixty) months: first 24 months are for pre-amortization of interest rate (meaning a very low instalment, in order not to burden on who is concentrated in studying); in the following 36 months (to be calculated from the beginning of each of the two years of the Program) – when students are supposed to be working, and so starting to produce income – the rest of the debt will be repaid.

Which interest rate is applied on the loan?
An absolutely favourable rate: variable rate Euribor [1] 3 months marked up of one percentage point: today, hence, a rate around 2,5%.

How much does it cost to accede to a “prestito d’onore”?
A little. Very little.
You just have to open an account at Banca Popolare di Milano: 30,00 (thirty) Euros to cover administration expenses it’s all what Banca Popolare di Milano requests you.
Contrary to what usually happens, there are no charges for the collection of instalments and, in case you decide to settle your debt before the established term, no penalty will be requested.

But is it complicated to accede to a “prestito d’onore”?
No.
All what you have to do is communicate to NABA that you are willing to request the loan of a certain amount of money, so that the School may at its turn let it know to the Bank.
At this point, you shall go to the main building of Banca Popolare di Milano, in Piazza Meda, 4 (few minutes walking from Piazza Duomo): once paid the 30,00 Euros for starting your file, you will get a personal bank account where the requested amount will be transferred.
The Bank will automatically settle the payment of the Master tuition fee (entirely, or only for the part you haven’t paid yet) to NABA; the difference between such amount and the total amount you requested, from now on, is at your disposal.
Up to you to make the best possible use of it!
Of course, shall you have any further doubts or questions, we are at your disposal.

[1] Euribor (Euro Interbank Offered Rate) is calculated as the weighed average of interest rates of financial transactions in Euro between the big European banks. It’s a value who varies depending on the financial markets movements, daily communicated by the European Bank Federation with quotations at 1, 3 and 6 months; all the main daily newspapers publish its value in their economic section.
